This livery is inspired by the style designed by Dutch designer Thijs Postma in 1966. He was the creator of the iconic green color and the large, black T on the fuselage and tail. With this style, Transavia became very well-known.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Thijs himself says about this:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">\u201cFor great recognizability, I designed a large letter T, both on the fuselage and on the tail. While I was still working on it, John Block said: \u2018That&#8217;s it! I&#8217;m going to my lawyer now and when I come back in a few hours, I have to have a drawing for the painter.\u2019 On Sunday all three DC-6 aircraft were in the new scheme at Schiphol. And could I also immediately make designs for letterhead, business card, painting of the cars etcetera.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On 16 January, the CEO of Transavia, Marcel de Nooijer, went on an introductory visit to author Thijs Postma with a Transavia delegation. When Thijs (91 years old) designed the painting, De Nooijer (56 years old) had not yet been born!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The book \u2018<a href=\"\/#luchtvaartkunst\">Aviation Art<\/a>\u2019 was of
